Moultrie, GA swap meet ... at an airport and is a huge automotive swap meet with also arts and craft items for sale. This has always been a good place to find parts for any make or model of car and even some Corvette items. Their is a for sale car corral, auction and car show. ... A lot of local Corvette Clubs attend the swap meet and enter the a car show on Saturday. ... it takes about 4 hours to walk through all the rows and buildings and it is usually cold. Their are plenty of restrooms and places to eat. ... 2 1/2 hours from Dothan. |

| July 25 | Monthly Club Cruise. We have been invited to join up with the folks from the Cruisin Corvette club of Tallahassee in an event they have planned in Blountstown FL. We will be meeting at the Dobbs bar-b-q on the south side of Dothan at 8:30 so we can arrive at the Panhandle Pioneer Museum in Blountstown at 10:00. There we will meet up with the Cruisin folks, and some from the Emerald Coast club as they have also been invited. We will spend about an hour there, then caravan to a restaurant for lunch. It should be fun, and its always great to visit with our Corvette ‘brothers and sisters’ from the neighboring clubs. |

The Emerald Coast Corvette club is cruises to Helen, GA a very picturesque town in the hills of north GA. They leave Friday morning and cruise through Dothan at 7:00 to meet with Jean and I at the Hardees on 231, across from Dobbs bar-b-que. We should arrive in Helen by mid-afternoon. Saturday we'll spend “playing” (tubing down the river, racing go-karts, driving the twisty roads in a spirited manner, and so forth), and we’ll return on Sunday. They have an itinerary and host hotel and all that. If you are interested email me ASAP, and I will send you all the information, as you need to act soon to get a motel reservation. |

On the 29th, we will have our monthly cruise. This month we will cruise to Seaby and Floy Bess’s place in Ashford, for a pool, cook-out, fishing party!! Seaby has a nice big place with a pool , and a ½ acre pond that is full of nice size catfish. So, the fisherman in the club will get to try their luck and pulling in some catfish that we will clean and fry for the party. They will also be grilling burgers and dogs, and the ladies will be asked to bring a dish to share. More details at our August meeting. Details from Bruce. |

| Nov 21 | Our Monthly Cruise is to Mike’s Critters in Banks AL. This is the place with the Ligers, Bears, Snakes, Monkeys and other animals we visited back in June. They were chosen as a charitable recipient this year, so we will be handing them a check, as well as visiting the animals again, and then go for lunch afterward. We’ll be meeting at the Burger King in Troy at 9:30 for this Cruise. |
